Our Museum Compound

The Audrain County Historical Society is located within the 11-acre Robert S. Green Park in Mexico, Missouri. There, visitors will find the antebellum Graceland Museum (1857), (listed on the National Register of Historic Places), the American Saddlebred Horse Museum (est. 1970), the Country School and the Country Church, as well as the Fire Brick Museum.

Throughout the year, the Audrain County Historical Museum hosts a variety of events and programs designed to engage the community and bring history to life. These include historical reenactments, lectures, and workshops that delve into specific aspects of the county’s past. The museum also participates in local festivals and celebrations, further connecting the community with its history.
